Although HoloLens periodically checks for system updates, there may be circumstances you will need to manually update it.
To check your updates, do the following:
- Open your Start Menu
- Open the Settings app from either your start menu or all apps
- Tap Update & Security
- Make sure you’re in Windows Update and tap Check for updates
- If you have an update, you’ll be prompted to download and restart this
- Once it downloads, tap Restart Now and your Hololens will restart and download the update
It’s good practice to consistently check that your Hololens and IMAJION app are up to date to prevent any issues that can occur when being on the wrong version of your device or software.
